Nelson Fine Arts

Nelson Fine Arts Website (2007) :: The basic design of the website was specified by the owner, so my job was to find an appropriate e-commerce system and build the site to his specifications.

 

PROJECT: Create ecommerce website for Nelson Fine Arts, featuring the paintings of my cousin, Michael R. Nelson.

SOFTWARE: Zen Cart, Photoshop

SCOPE: The client picked out the the general color scheme and overall feel, and provided объекты ЮНЕСКО в России most of the text. Although I'd done a few websites in the past, they were either Front Page or basic HTML sites, while this one required e-commerce functionality. At this point (December, 2007) I had to learn about many of the modern aspects of web development, including CMS (Content Management Systems), mySQL databases, Zen Cart, SSL certificates and CSS. Still, I managed to get the site together over the course of a few weeks, and the client and I were very pleased with the results.
